Isabelle Gibson

Isabelle Gibson was born in 1994 in Brazil. She is a PhD candidate in Criminal Law at the Rio de Janeiro State University (UERJ), Brazil. She did a research stay at the Faculty of Law of Maastricht University (2023-2024). Isabelle obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Law at Fluminense Federal University (UFF) in 2017 and Master’s Degree in Legal Sciences at Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) in 2020. She works as a Criminal Law Attorney in Brazil. Her research topic is sexual violence and genocide. She is also interested in gender issues in Criminal Law, such as violence against women and femicide.
